Founded in 2007, YUIL-TECH Co., Ltd. (CEO Tae-Geun Choi) specializes in hardfacing, wear-resistant welding and thermal spray coating. Through its productivity and technical capabilities, the company serves thermal power generation, steelmaking, cement and other industries.
Hardfacing, the field in which CEO Tae-Geun Choi has specialized for 25 years, is a surface modification process. It improves the surface properties of a material by depositing alloy welding consumables uniformly onto the base-material surface using weld surfacing techniques.
The technology is widely used across industry to extend the service life of worn components in power generation, cement, steelmaking, paper, mining and glass equipment. Its importance continues to grow as equipment becomes more advanced and longer service life is required.
In addition to these technologies, YUIL-TECH undertakes pulverizer maintenance construction and is developing various technologies as the only provider worldwide combining these services. It has developed four patented inventions, including journal head liners, deflector liners and dynamic classifiers, to maximize wear life inside pulverizers. Its one-stop fabrication, installation and dismantling services have earned customers' trust. The company also works to localize hardfacing technology.
YUIL-TECH was recently selected for a joint R&D project supported by Korea's five power generation companies to extend the service life of Inner Segment Vanes at Taean Units 9 and 10, and began the localization project.
The company has also participated in R&D-related support programs, including technology innovation for strategic materials, parts and equipment; on-site process and quality innovation R&D; automation and advanced manufacturing support from the National Ppuri Industry Center; safety innovation investment; carbon vouchers; industrial innovation; export vouchers; K-vouchers; and development, production and market-entry support.
To strengthen its international competitiveness, YUIL-TECH has been preparing to enter Vietnam and other Southeast Asian markets and is preparing for exports.
CEO Choi said, ‘Drawing on our practical experience and know-how, we will continue to supply products accurately and provide prompt, precise support when issues arise. We will always strive to manufacture Korea's best wear-resistant products.’
