YUIL-TECH Co., Ltd. participated in the Indonesia–Malaysia Power Equipment Trade Mission organized by Korea Western Power (KOWEPO), conducting exhibitions, technical exchanges and export consultations in both countries.

From September 1 to 5, local time, KOWEPO organized the mission with 12 Korean SMEs in Jakarta and Bekasi, Indonesia, and Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. YUIL-TECH joined as a participating company. The mission followed a shared-growth cooperation agreement signed by KOWEPO and the Korea Electrical Engineers Association in May.

Indonesia: Dedicated Booth and First Participation in EBTKE ConEx

YUIL-TECH exhibited at a dedicated booth (D2-9123) at Indonesia Energy & Engineering Series 2026, held in Jakarta on September 2–5. The booth featured core products and solutions, including Inner Segments for coal pulverizers, CCO wear plates, roll tires, ceramic lining and pipe cladding.

The company also opened its first overseas exhibition booth at the 12th EBTKE ConEx held during the same period, creating an opportunity to formally introduce its hardfacing technology to Indonesia's renewable energy and power generation markets.

Malaysia: Technical Exchange and Export Consultations with Malakoff

In Malaysia, YUIL-TECH took part in the Malaysia and Korea Technical Exchange Program held in Johor Bahru on September 4. It discussed cooperation on pulverizer maintenance and wear-resistant components with Malakoff, the country's largest independent power producer. Through booth consultations, YUIL-TECH proposed SC450-based hardfacing solutions for the ALSTOM HP-type pulverizers operated at Tanjung Bin Power Plant.

KOWEPO pursued cooperation with Malakoff to facilitate entry into local supply chains and establish long-term sales channels. It plans to sign a memorandum of understanding by the end of the year and continue exchanges in power plant operation and technology, alongside cooperation to support Korean SMEs' entry into Malaysia's power market supply chain.

Results of the Mission as a Whole

Across both countries, the mission generated export consultations valued at USD 18.76 million. In Bekasi, approximately 100 local participants attended, with 98 consultations and three memoranda of understanding signed. Potential contracts were estimated at USD 13.97 million. At the Johor Bahru export consultation event, one contract was signed and consultations totaled USD 4.79 million. These figures refer to the entire trade mission, rather than YUIL-TECH's individual sales.

KOWEPO President Jeong-Bok Lee said, ‘This mission is meaningful because cooperation with Malakoff broadens opportunities for Korean SMEs to enter the local supply chain. We will expand our cooperation with local power generators so that partners with excellent technologies can continue to achieve export results overseas.’
